East Anglia and Haven Ports
'I handed over many of the small blankets to seafarers and they were very pleased with them. The Indian crew is on the mega container vessel, MSC Freya, which is still at Felixstowe Port as I write. It has 24 Indian seafarers, and they really appreciated the small blankets I handed over.
I also visited CMA CGM Chiwan, another big container vessel with Filipino and Romanian crew, also at Felixstowe Port. As you can see from the photos, they were all very appreciative of the blankets. Thank you so much for your support.' (Julian Wong, Regional Port Chaplain for East Anglia and Haven Ports)

Home Instead
'Our 'Be A Santa' campaign is back for 2024! Thanks to the kindness and generosity of the local community, we have been collecting Christmas gifts, which we will wrap and donate to older people locally, who wouldn't otherwise receive a gift this Christmas. Special thanks go to the organisations supporting our campaign including Norfolk Knitters and Stitchers, and to the many individuals who have donated gifts.' (HomeInStead)

Thank you so much for all the goodies. We have already used the bags to pack Christmas gifts! Please thank all the Knitters and Stitchers! And thank you for your continuing support of English+ and our students. It is much appreciated, and the extra kindnesses do make a difference to people's lives. We wish you a very happy Christmas.' (Sarah at English+)

RAF Veterans Association
RAF Veterans Scarves
Thank you to everyone who made a scarf for the RAF veterans. They were given to Nicola from the RAF Veterans Association who was so happy to receive them and said she knew that the veterans would very much appreciate them. She will be coming to Diss Wool Shed in Feb to give us a taste of what the organisation does and hopes to bring along one or two of the Veterans. (Heather)

Early Help Community
Please see below 2 pieces of feedback that I have received – Brenda Marshall, Early Help Community
“Could you pass on thanks to the Knit and Natter group please? I've just done the parent café for my little anxiety group and both parents said how much their girls love the 'comfort' blankets I gave them. One keeps it on her bed and the other wraps her baby sister in it when she's in the car and calls it her 'safety blanket'. This child had been in a car crash earlier in her life and worries about it happening again.”
“Could you pass on my thanks for the 'worry monsters'. I have a 1:1 child who has one of the knitted 'worry monsters' that now sleeps in a box in his bedroom”
Please do pass on our sincerest thanks to the members of your group for these items, as you can see they are already making a difference to the lives of young people.'
The Worry Monsters were created by Dereham Stitchers and were left over from our event in Wymondham last year. Nothing goes to waste – it might take a little time to find the right charity, but we always do in the end.
